Our Principal

Mrs. Tisa Day

Tisa Day grew up in a family of educators in the Illinois and Wisconsin public school systems. Mrs. Day earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lane College in 1992 and furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an administrative endorsement from Freed-Hardeman University. She then continued her education by earning an Educational Specialist Degree from Union University. She is a member of the Lane College Board of Trustees. She has served as a teacher, magnet facilitator, and principal in the Jackson-Madison County School System.  She is a proud mother of her three children, Carmen, Justice and Jerrett.

Mrs. Day’s favorite quote is…

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.  –Booker T. Washington
